Children of the Stones

Critically renowned as being one of the scariest childrens shows ever made, this morning I bring you Children of the Stones!

Scientist Adam Brake and his son Matthew come to the quiet village of Milbury to study the 4000 year-old stone circle that surrounds it. But the stones seem to hold some kind of ancient power, one that the mysterious Mr Hendrick hopes to tap into and that holds all of the villagers in its thrall.

Fantomcat

From Cosgrove Hall, the production company behind DangerMouse and Count Duckuls come the swashbuckling hero, Fantomcat!

Fantomcat centres on the character Phillipe Lentheric Guerlain de Givenchy, the Duke of Fantom, a masked swashbuckling hero who thrived in 1699, in mortal combat with his nemesis Baron Von Skeltar (a sword-wielding caped Skeletoid alchemist). De Fantom was treacherously cast into a painting within the halls of his house, Castle De Fantom, and became trapped for centuries. As time passed, the area around Castle De Fantom became a bustling metropolis called Metro City, a city submerged in crime rings led by the fiendish arachnid Marmagora.
The Duke of Fantom is a masked swashbuckling hero who joins Metro City's Detective Team after his release and is nicknamed Fantomcat. Fantomcat is naturally completely oblivious to the modern world and its various new technologies, which can hinder him and the detective team if not careful. Fantomcat has a sword called "Touché" which can respond to his beck and call, he can also turn invisible, hence his namesake to act like a "Phantom" when needed.

Dog City

Today we have the adventures of a cartoon canine detective, and his creator (who is also a dog) in Jim Henson's Dog City!

Dog City centers on Eliot Shag, a Muppet dog and animator, and his cartoon creation Ace Hart, an animated canine private eye. In each episode, Eliot translates his own dilemmas into Ace's more adventurous exploits in the tough, 1940s-style streets of Dog City. The Muppet sequences featured, in addition to Eliot, his admiring young neighbor Artie Springer, building superintendent Bruno, his assistant Bowser, and girlfriend Colleen Barker. Eliot, Bruno, and Bowser were all refurbished puppets, with new taxidermy eyes, from the original Dog City special, and Colleen recycled the same puppet, name, and voice.
The animated segments, meanwhile, maintained the film noir-spoof atmosphere of the original special, with hero Ace Hart, private eye dog, battling gangster Bugsy Vile and his gang, with the assistance of Eddie the newspup and the help or hindrance of by-the-book Chief Rosie O'Gravy, all of whom had counterparts in the puppet segments. Each episode thus had roughly parallel plots running between the Muppets and the cartoon characters, with creator Eliot and creation Ace engaging in good-natured arguments about the storylines.
